New skimmer

I just purchased a skimmer for a lfs used. Its a Marine Technical Concepts 4500. I got a good deal for it and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I tried their website but it doesn't have my skimmer on it.

Did you buy it at Animal Kingdom? I was there today asking them about skimmers and that's what they told me they sell and use.

how much did you buy it for if you dont mind me asking...

it was a used one i bought for 150 came with air pump and water pump. its been hooked up for 2 days now and been working fairly well. I guess well see how it goes:sigh:

i have the 4500 i would have sold it to you for cheap!! it works with a pump and you have to replace the air stone routinely after about 2-3 months. it works thats the best i can say about it. also they are based out of nj. i have spoken to the manufacter directly on several occasions. use a 2 litre bottle for a waste chamber imho. do not buy that, they are made well

cool. ok i was hoping someone on this site had one. I did the same 2 liter bottle to collect waste. Its working pretty well. The guy at the store told me about the air stones and showed me how to set everything up. I like it so far but im keeping my eye on it. Thanks for the input
