Aqua C EV-180 Skimmer Connecting Help!

Just got this Aqua C EV-180 last night! Any idea how should I connect this? Hoping to setup AGA 75 Gallon RR this coming Saturday. I habought a 29 Gallon Tank to be used as a sump. Here is a picture of the Aqua C EV-180 skimmer inside the tank (sump), I had glue only one baffle. And was told I should not glue any more baffles. That the Aqua C EV-180 skimmer should be raised high enough to clear the baffle. But, it seems I do not have enough clearance. Any suggestion?? I would like to get this resolved before Saturday, because I want to break down my 40 Gallon and put up my 75 Gallon. You can me as well on my cell 973-703-4575 NJ cell, but I live in the Bronx.

use some eggcrate and cable ties to make a platform to raise it a bit

Are you sure that's an EV-180?
Looks like an older style EV-150 due to the lower gate valve placement and your also missing the ball valve for the air intake.

only the outlet of the skimmer needs to be above the waterline of the compartment its sitting it, maybe that'll save you a few inches???

I does not have to be above the baffle just the water line. Even if the out let is a little bitt in the water thats fine you will just have to adjust the skimmer.

Are you going to able to remove the skimmer without removing the sump as well?

Dean, you know who has one? Or the dimension ?

A 20g long is the same length & depth, but 6" shorter. A 30g breeder is 36" X 18" x 12".

Deanos, how often do you remove your skimmer? I'm starting a new tank and I will not be able to remove it as well. These standard aga stands are a pita.

Maybe 9-10 times a year for cleaning or maintenance.

can you fit it next to the sump? That is how I have my EV 240.
