i was going to post about that because i have a sudden out beak in my tank,skimmer and on some lr.i think thee called q-tip sponge?

yes q-tip sponges.

Leucilla sp. sponge, harmless filter feeder that will eventually die off and the return. they really seem to have a cycle of growth and death in my tanks

yep the old q tip I got one in my overflow about 8 inches wide
