I was going to say Aruba as a guess too. I'm heading there in mid to late Sept. Where those pictures from Arashi beach? I'm interested in some snorkeling and anything else you can suggest to do there?

I was going to say Aruba as a guess too. I'm heading there in mid to late Sept. Where those pictures from Arashi beach? I'm interested in some snorkeling and anything else you can suggest to do there?

Our hotel was on Palm Beach (photo #1, 2, 7, 14, 15, 16). We went many times to Eagle beach (photo # 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) for Divi tree photo opportunities and sunset diner. We went snorkeling only once. Driving from Palm beach to California lighthouse there is rocky shoreline with some sand patches between Arashi Beach and Hadicurari Beach. (picture #3) We snorkeled there. Many urchins and eels. Good visibility.

Why a bad dive?

First 2 dives we went to Pilot Wreck and North Harbor Reef. Low visibility (60 feet, 40 feet) a lot of death corals (more death corals than alive corals) nothing interesting to see. Just bad dive site. Second day, 2 dives at Antilla wreck (best dive) and Pedernaless wreck.

Was there a lot of dead coral b/c of a mother nature (Hurricane or some other event), or b/c people have ruined the coral there, via pollution/destruction?

Yes, that?s me. I used tripod. I took photos the way I liked it without asking anybody. Also I used Circular Polarizing Filter.

Divemaster told us that a lot of brain corals were upside down because of the storms. We dove just outside of harbor. Pollution and rising water temperature probably too.
