Windy Surf Photos

The beach in Rockaway is pretty bad right now. Over 60mph wind gusts, wave height 8-15ft. Took a few shots, thought I'd share. I used the photo enhance feature in iphoto.

The ocean looks anrgy. The wind out here is roaring too, can only get my front door open between the gusts ..when there even is a 'between'..scary!

The beach picture looks awesome with the sand blowing, forming an almost dust/cloud over the sand.

Used to live on the outer banks of north Carolina. Those remind me of some of the weather we used to get there.

Glad you guys like the photos. It was wicked out there today. You could walk into the wind leaning forward and it would hold you up. Lots of shorefront damage in my area today.

Jim, hanging on the wall where it belongs There were a few nuts surfing out there the day after. The waves were actually larger the day after with a much longer wave period.
