ok seems i am off to a good start this year. tanks are healthy, i have had my first seen fish spawn, well seahorse. my erectus. seems funny saying that and i am grown.:shhh: the male dropped his babies tonight. i picke this pair up at macna from the seahorse.org booth. first few hatchings not to worried about till i get set up to try and raise a few fry. i have a intank idea for setup. here's the parents and fry born sometime today, have put foam on over flow to catch them if i wasn't home. fed some too my reef and fish went crazy. in reality this is a great and natural food source for my fish, daughter got pissed and punched me :irked: , got about 10 in small container in sh tank, with sponge and water able to slow flow into it, put some frozen bb, rot's and cycopleez, in with container. seen some eat, who knows

Congrats on the litter Rick. Some people just don't understand the Natural Selection Theory.

My wife read over my shoulder what you did and she got angry. LOL She was going "Yeah! I would do more than beat you to a bloody pulp!" and reminded me the time she thought one of the baby turtles had died because it had flipped over and was on it's back! She got sooooo upset at me for bringing them home, it was funny.

It should be pretty easy to keep the babies alive if you can pick up a pack of live rotifiers since you already have a fuge.

I have wanted to set up a seahorse only tank for some time. Unfortunately the finances and the wife wont let me set up another tank. LOL

I used to breed dwarf seahorses about 20 years ago. It was an awesome experience back then, I am sure that you will have months of family fun...
