recently picked up a couple of led strips, I wired them together and and velcro them to a spray painted piece of aluminum. here are a few quick shots. they're not to good since I had to hold the strip and take the pics also. when I get them installed I'll post better pics.

Is it the angel of the pic or your tank is really that long? Would the aluminum sag if you just lay it on the tank?

I picked up the led strip from ebay,for specs and cost I will post the page shortly. It is 120mm or 48inches exact . with two strips on the aluminum it has a slight sag with only one it does not sag. two strips, one on one side the other a few inches away provides enough light for my entire tank. my tank measures 48 x 24 , so the strip goes from end to end and both strips are on one power source. the power adapter can run three strips. I did this after seeing another MR reefers tank with the same amount of strips (2) on his tank, he stated that he had them on for a while and had gotten good results. I then bought some for myself.
