There has been a lot of talk about camera and camera lenses lately. Just as an FYI, I use a combination of a 50mm f1.4, a 18-250mm zoom and a 100mm macro for most of my photos.

There are near my parents place in the SF Bay Area:

Milpitas Hills - we had a BEAUTIFUL day today. The hills around here aren't even particularly beautiful - they are a brownish tan during pretty much every season, so they are great for black and white photography.

(All of these were taken with a 18-250mm tamron lens and were converted to b/w in photoshop. I never shoot in b/w even if I intend to convert later as I would rather have the color information if I chose to use it later)

ellebelle ... what lenses did you use for the 3rd set of pictures (green stem with water drops) ... the contrast and clarity are awesome ... !!! How did you do that?? please teach me ... !!!
