Camera Lens Question

Ok so I have about 3k-4k worth of lenses for a Minolta 35mm camera. (dont know how much exactly probably10-12 different lenses) Will these be compatible with any new DSLR cameras. Does anyone know of any brands that these will be compatible with or a site that I could cross-reference them? Sorry Im a little behind the eight-ball when it comes to DSLR.

Ok now that I feel like a dumbass, does anyone here use them and what minolta/konica/sony DSLR do you recommend for the 5-7 hundred dollar range?

I have a canon Rebel XTI Digital SLR and I love this camera! now I just have to get a macro lens

I think Ellebelle uses a Sony.

Sony bought the Minolta line of SLRs I believe about 2-3 years ago. You should probably call B&H and ask if your old lense mounts fits the Sony Alpha line. I'm pretty sure they can tell you for sure. Of course, it is a digital camera so I can not say if it'll use all functions.

Stick with minolta if you can use your old lenses with it.
