Yes awesome camera. I have the XT and it rocks too.. I picked up a couple extra lenses for mine. Lenses make a big difference. But that lens still takes awesome pictures....

You made a good choice.. The most popular are the Canon and the Nikon. The Nikon is bulkier for my taste, and the lens servo (motor) is in the camera, so if it breaks camera is down. The canon has the motor in the lens, so if it goes down only the lens goes down and you can use another lens...

just got a canon powershot s5 IS, once i figure it out i will like it more, also plan to get the lense adaptors

Lens adapters for the powershot? That is not a SLR.
