Looks like the perfect example to show the differing algae blooms immature tanks experience when prematurely stocked.

Wow.

That could be the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.

Will you be my valentine?

Seriously though, part of me gets what you're saying, but part of me wonders what my algae has to do with my stocking?

I could see if I had large fish, or an abundance of fish, or anything that really requires much food or produces much waste, but I have none of those.

I'd say my initial problem (still lingering) has more to do with my inital use of well water, rather than ro/di, but I am still learning.

looks like progress is being made with the algae. the RO/DI will fix that, it will just take time to get the junk out that was in the well water.

do some aggressive water changes and then wait it out.

I was going to say the top of the water looked stagnant in some of the pics, but it looks like you fixed that in the last shot. Is that a powerhead drawing water from the surface?

Yeah, that's the pump for my aquafuge. The surface isn't stagnant at all anymore, as the output of the fuge is on the surface and really riles it up.

I've been doing about 5 gallons a week on the water change, which is roughly ~18%.

I know it's on it's way out, and honestly, it really doesn't bother me much anymore...fun to look back and watch it dissapear.

Anyway, thanks for the comments/advice!

:)
