So I'm new here so I thought I'd share one of my adventures from earlier this year. I am by trade a professional musician and back in January our group was invited to perform for US troops and IZ workers in Baghdad, Iraq. We had a private sponsor fund the entire journey. There are 10 of total. Nine musicians and one sound engineer.
It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I will be eternally grateful for the job our guys and gals are doing over there. trust me it's not pleasant.
Anyway, we spent 10 days in Baghdad and played a total of 5 shows. The first show was a fundraiser for the Starfish Network which raises money for sick children in need of surgery. The monies go to get these kids over here to the US to see top doctors! That first night the event raised just over 70K. Then we had the honor of performing in the US Embassy. Here's a couple of pics from our sightseeing over there. Hope you like them.
Our female lead singer climbing on Saddam. One of my personal favs.
