What camera? Try to stay away from flash when shooting the whole tank, it will wash away your colors.

Cool aquascape.

Damn, i was just asking, stop shouting, lol.

With a few minor adjustments you can improve on them more.

like pedro says, try not to use the flash as it mutes yr tank colours and the flash reflection is rather distracting. also read up on the WB in yr camera's manual. just a few pointers that was pass to me when i first started shooting tank pics.

Do you have 20k lamps? Or is that acinics? I find that 20k's make the pics look that blue do to the white balance. If you can customize that and steady your cam, you can improve alot.

On a side note, nice frags!

Were you at the swap? You should have reached out to me.

Shad, part of the problem with a bowfront or 1/4 round tank is the distortion in the pix. I can't even take pix of my 16g bowfront without distortion.

Like Pedro mentioned, don't use your flash. Just your daylights, set your white balance, set to macro, steady as she goes........shoot the pic. Full tank shots IMO are almost impossible with a 1/4 round tank.

nra223 ,Your post #12 pics look great to me.

I suck at taking tank pics:headache:
Thanks, I'm trying to just use different settings.

Tonyscoots, shad if you take a look at my tank thread and or my tank log all those pics were taken with a 4.0 megapixel sony... trust me its possible even with your w100 to take nice shots....
My camera is a 8.1 mega pixel, should I drop it down to 5 or 4 pix?
By the way you took nice pics of your frags.

I was at the swap, sorry I didn't introduce myself. Everytime I went to talk to somebody they all seemed to be in a coversation with someone, so I didn't want to interupt. I did meet a few people not many. I stayed till the raffles were done. I had a long drive home to middletown ny in that storm.
I have t5 actinics on my fixture.

Russ, part of the problem with a bowfront or 1/4 round tank is the distortion in the pix. I can't even take pix of my 16g bowfront without distortion.

Russ, It is hard to take a pic with the bow front. I have the macro on trying to figure out the white balance.
Nice set up you guys had at the swap!

try shooting pics with all your lights on.
nice frags and great seeing you at the swap!

alrha, I forget some of the names, but are you the gentleman I bought a few frags from?
