My Dusky Jawfish

Nicknamed E.T., she was added to the tank this past November. She spends most of her time looking upwards for food!

Great fish with a lot of personality

Duskys have a lot of personality try and feed them some live shrimp every so often. I had mine eating flakes out of the water column and other fishes mouths. They get aggressive when it comes to food and won't hesitate to steal from other fish. They will move their cave around as well so be prepared for sand piles all over the place. Great fish though I love those guys. Mine was named Jabba (as in "the Hutt") cuz it looks like they share some DNA.

She's absolutely adorable! At first she was shy about going after the food when there were other fish around, now she just zooms in after it.

My sand bed is about 6" - 6 1/2", but I put a plastic tube and angled it down into the sand.

Her head turns white whenever she's startled or scared, she looks almost like a skull in the sand! She's not colorful, but I also didn't want to pay the $$$ for a colorful one. LOL

I read that they're jumpers, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
