Buying a Digi Cam

Any suggestions:

Creteria:

1) I can focus/see under dim light (i.e. when I am in a party)
2) Good macro functions I can picture these coral guys
3) Fast shutter speed to freeze the fish
4) Size does not matter if the quality of the pic if great

i would imagine shutter speed is related to amount of light.

I would think a fast shutter reset would be helpful, so you can take a second picture without waiting several seconds.

i am pretty happy w/ my Canon SD500. that is what i used for the pix from Boston Aquarium. plus Canon makes an u/w case

For digital camera, the memory speed and the sentivity of the CCD will determine the shutter speed.

If you're willing to spend the bucks, check out the LUMIX cameras by panasonic. A friend has one and I'm impressed with it.

I don't know if anyone makes an underwater housing for it though, so you'll have to shoot the pics from outside the tank.

Too many options!!!

1)Going for ultra slim for easy carry around
2)Big but higher quality(not pro yet) with a big lens
Panasonic DMC F27 (Most likely I want this one-any comment?)
3)Something just enough to go by

I finally have decided ont he Panasonic FZ7S for my shakey hands.
