had a flood in my finished basement and now i need to rebuild.i cant do it myself due to my back so i would like a licensed and insured contractor to give me a close estimate via message.going to be drylocking the walls.room is 25 by 24 with a wall needed to be put through the center.i will be using the new fiber glass drywall.i need tile put down and seal up a 6ft entryway with studs and drywall.i priced out the material and it comes out to about 4 grand in material.im estimating the time will be about 2 weeks.i redid the whole thing myself after work and the weekends in 1 month minus the dry lock and tile.i know its hard to give estimate by reading this so i would like to know what you would charge in labor over a 2 to 3 week straight span.

Which drywall Duke?

Typical high estimate pricing for a licensed contractor per hour your going to be charged is 200$ per worker, ~120-150 per helper. 2 guys for 3 weeks (15 days) is around 5-6k. Just giving a base on what the work is going to cost you so you have a better idea on what to expect. Don't know if that helps.

My customer built the New World Mall in Flushing, he has a lot of workers waiting for jobs, I bet. I will meet him in the morning.

I assume you need his company to do all the drawings and filings too, correct?

Please SMS/TXT me at 347 739 2411, my cel. service always lost calls.

Who files and draws up a basement that has some water damage???? Talk about overpricing.

Do you know where the flood came from? Exterior wall, broken pipe, etc. Drylock is good stuff but if you have cracks in your foundation you have 2 solutions...Hydraulic cement i can send you the name of the stuff VIA PM instead of the drylock or start digging and waterproofing from the outside. If it was a burst pipe just get mold resistant sheetrock so if it happens again it can get wet without worrying about the mold. I just did this in my basement i had a crack in the foundation out of nowhere and i had to grind the crack out and fill it with hydraulic cement and refinish it. I left the sheetrock about 2 inches above the floor and covered it with molding just in case it happened again i don't have to worry about sheetrock. Just a suggestion.

there is a new type of sheetrock.instead of a paper its fiberglass so no mold or mildew can form.i had a hose burst in my kitchen and it flooded out.i dont need any planning .i used metal studs when i finished it the first time so all that needs to be done is sheetrock spacle paint and tile.oh and hang some new doors.i do have some leaks from foundation that will need to be fixed.nothing crazy and i know where the exact leaks are

Another tip, I dont know who your insurance carrier is thats your business, mine wouldn't cover outside flooding via foundation, but it would cover inside flooding via pipe bursting. If you want to file a claim that might re-imburse you. Check your coverage book. Might as well make those con artist insurance companies pay for something.

I run a small contracting company on long island and do this kind of work. If you are interested send me an email to talk about the specifics like the paperless drywall and drylocking etc. I usually do $500 a day per gang of workers if a person wants to do a time and material type job.
