i'm in the same boat but not acura. for me it's go in there with price i know i want to spend that is ~1-2k below their asking price and the correct amount of my trade-in. if they don't like it. hand them my number when they are ready to make the sale.

i am lucky to have a great bank: navy federal credit union from the navy days. so i've never been denied.

when I was looking for cars a few months ago I went to Rallye Acura in Roslyn. The salesman I had was very nice and helped out with pricing. I think his name was Dick, can't remember the last name... He's the type of guy you just feel comfortable with when you're buying a car.

Chinatown,

If you are looking to buy a acura, you should also look into their service department. It's always better to pay $1000 more with a decent service department than a bad one. Also, I suggest you look for a local dealer instead of a one far away from your home. The reason is that acura provide free loaner car service only for their local buyer. It's going to save you some time and money.

I could be wrong, but, I'm pretty certain that, that is a local DEALER policy...NOT corporate policy... IMO, Acura Corp. (Honda) would not want dealers treating IT'S customers differently.
