Me and my GF spent 3 hours digging up my car. There was so much snow on it kids made a halfpipe and started from the car's roof My street is still under 3 feet of snow so until someone decide to plow it, I'm stuck.
I have two snowblower. A big one and a small one.
I was half way done when the drive wheel went on the bigger snowblower...which makes it impossible to use because the wheel will not turn and it is too big to push up my driveway. So I switch to the smaller one and I managed to finish the driveway before I ran out of the fuel/oil mixture and I did not have the mixture to make more..
So I had to shovel that snow that packs in front of the driveway when the plow passes by. To say the least I am very sore today!!
Fortunately, my son is home from college for Winter Break and it took the two of us almost three hours to dig out the house, driveway and the three cars.
The night we got the snow I went outside at around 8 when we only had about 5 inches. Turned on the snow blower and went to town. My drive way goes up hill so it's impossible to shovel. After I finished my driveway, I started snow plowing the side walk. BAM. F'in screw and the back turning peace broke. SOOO yesterday morning got the privilege of shoveling the whole thing because of the snow drifts were about 8 inches on the drive way again. And this morning as well I woke up at 8, and I literally just got back inside about 10 minutes ago from shoveling again. Now it's up to the point of having to use a real metal shovel and go over it once, then take a snow shovel and clear It all out because it's so packed in now. God I picked the best time to break the snow blower. Never broke before in the past 3 years, and now, first good snow fall and boom... Wonderful.
Yes, you win.
I used my 31 year old snowblower for 7 hours, of course it broke 3 times so I spent a lot of that time fixing it. I also do a lot of my neighbors.
After having to go to Queens today for work, I can say that I personally shoveled more snow from my front walk than all of the NYC plows cleaned up in Queens - what a crappy job they did there!
