Anyone been to Sanibel Island?

We have a few days off next month and were hoping to get away for a relaxing, romantic vacation that wont break the piggy bank, as well as something new and warm. I've heard of Sanibel but never been there and cant seem to find much online other than hotel/motel websites. Anyone here been there and can comment?

I was there this summer for a week. Stayed at the Marriott Sanibel Island Resort. Its a good vacation spot if you are just going to hang and veg. There isnt much to do in the area that I could see. The resort is really nice, and the water / beach is spectacular. When I got home from the trip, I thought about going back for a few days with my wife and looked into the rates which were spectacularly low.

I would certainly recommend it as a very low key vacation. If you are the kind of person that needs to be occupied every minute of the day, I dont think this is the place for you, otherwise go have a great time. If you have any specific questions, let me know.
