I rode dirt for about 9 years and then rode R1's for 7 - had an 03 limited black with the maroon flames- got stolen--then an 04 silver with ty-force full system and power commander tuned and mapped by powerhouse in west babylon, polished lips- too many to list then traded in for an 07- had that hooked up beyond belief- full leo vince carbon fiber sbk exhaust power commander, carbon fiber air box cover, sato rearsets, crv racing levers, dubble bubble puig windscreen, exhaust wrap on exposed pipe, rear seat cowl, and a bunch of other things-------Then I crashed in Tenn and my riding days are done sustained the following:

1-Broken left femur
2-Broken right tibia, fibula
3-Broken left ankle
4-Tore my rotator cuff muscles and degloved all muscle tendons from the bone
5- 3rd degree tear of the spleen

Had the following treatments-

1-Rods in left femur, right tibia and a screw in my left ankle
2-6 hour open reduction surgery at Hospital for Special Surgeries to reconstruct my left shoulder
3-Was in ICU in Tenn for 6 days till the spleen repaired enough to be stabile then another 7 days in a regular room.
4-Had to do the whole lovenox blood thinner treatment and was in a wheelchair for 41 days after getting home.
5-Have been in PT since Nov of '08

I still miss riding though as sick as it sounds, but I shouldnt have lived through the accident, so no matter what Im ahead of the power curve-BUT on the bright side I only got into the hobby since then so Ive met a lot of good people because of my misfortune--double edged sword

Sorry bout the bummer story, but all you guys that still ride enjoy the heck out of those machines, keep it between the lines and shiny side up!!!

No more riding for me, I just sold my Indian not to long ago, but I still have my 2006 Road King in the garage. I had a hyabusa years ago but a car ran a stop sign and clipped me on it.
