Termites...

Saw some swarms in my back yard yesterday. They were coming out of the ground in the middle of my yard.

Should I worry? Go to Home Depot and nuke the ground with chemicals?

Call a termite company?

What kind of experiences have people had with termite companies? What kind of treatments have people gone with?

Don't mess around with termites. Call a pro and get a treatment. It lasts 10 years and most companies offer a warranty against termite damage. Unfortunately the treatment is not cheap but it is much cheaper than the damage done to your house.

Here in NC it's pretty much a necessity. They will eat your house up. My parents had to replace their joists and subfloor.

id take a lighter and DW-40 to them.....then call the pros!

Your sure they are termits? I would call someone ASAP. That's not something to mess around with. Carpenter ants suck, but termits will cause much most pain and agony later on then anything. Call tomorrow
