In a few weeks out on this deserted Lighthouse in the middle of the Long Island Sound the new owners of the lighthouse are hosting a fund raiser party.
We will anchor near the lighthouse and so far I have no idea how we are getting to the thing as there is no dock, just a rusty ladder.
There will be three bands.
I really don't know how they are going to do this because I have been there many times and the Island is just slightly larger than the picture. There is no electricity, no water, no sewers.
The inside of the lighthouse is practically falling apart and there is not much room to walk around.
I was trying to be part of the renovation project, the new owners bought the place for one dollar and must maintain the island which is from George Washington's time, he actually comishioned it.
I think they may rent a floating dock and the boats can tie up there, at least I hope so because I have dove there dozens of times and it is very rocky with currents and not a great place to anchor.

Or should we call it 'gull creep'? :lol2:

It's actually cormorant creep. A mile or so to the north is Huckelberry Island another tiny un inhabited Island that was a big party place during prohibition. Now it is the largest cormorant hatchery on the east coast. There are thousands of large, fish eating birds there and nothing much of anything else.

Here's the party

I met the guy that now owns this lighthouse.
The club I worked for until recently hosts a ladies event twice a year. it is a fund raiser.
This year the "charity" was Execution Lighthouse.
He didnt Seem to want to talk much about the lighthouse.. At least to me.
