Direct TV vs Dish network (opionions)

looking into getting sat. for my house. Anyone with experience with either of these providers I would like to hear your, praises and gripes.

I never had receptin issues with DTV... I had it for almost 2 years. Then they change cards <evil grin>... I have never dealt with or even seen Dish.

i worry about the reception, if i'm going to pay so much I want to make sure i get decent reception. I did notice there is alot od DTV, and i really see the DISH.

Im a lazy guy, I dont need more installations of wires etc. I dont need any additional equipment on my roof. I like on demand stuff.

On the other hand you can get more channels with satelite, but do I really need more channels?

A very nice thing about cable is bundling tv, phone & internet. CHEAP & Good

I have DTV with hi def on my big screen, I have no reception issues, programing is the same wheter you have DN, DTV or cable the cable company here in Vernon sucks, I cant get dish netowrk dont have a clear view of the satellite.

I've had DTV for about 8 years no real complaints
snow (I get alot up here in Vernon) isnt an issue at all only time I get spotty reception is during severe electrical storms and it doesnt last long
