Retirement seems so damn far away, but I don't plan on staying here. San Diego or Hawaii are my choices.

I retired 18 months ago and I am still here. We just have too many friends, some from High School and a few from grammar school. We have a large close crowd and it would be hard to leave. On the weekends many of us tie our boats together and spend the weekend and have been doing that for over 30 years.
I do not especially like NY. I have always said, if you lived somewhere else, you would never live here.

Chief - it's close enough to Hershey park that you can visit!

I've always said that it was a gift to be able to live here and raise my kids here, but I always assumed I'd be leaving after a while, so I'll probably end up somewhere else. Maybe in the D.C. area or Carolinas. Near family regardless.

not true on doctors, personally i am not from NY and cant wait for my daughter to be 18 so i can go back to the mid-west, :irked: wifes family is all here so i am stuck
