So I'm graduating college in May and would like to plan a week-long caribbean (incl. Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic) vacation with my girlfriend before I start work full-time (never went on any spring breaks).

Does anyone have any good recommendation of locations you've actually vacationed? Or any websites with good packages?

Ideally, I want to fit in some coral reef snorkeling, water sports, and fun night life.

I haven't the faintest idea if Aruba is better than Jamaica or Bahamas, etc.

Price range is anything around $3,000 for two people. Thanks for the help.

Do you already have a job lined up yet? Or are you going to start looking after your vacation?
I'll just say the job market is pretty tough right now.
But Cancun is pretty nice.

id def. go with a cruise and prob for 3k depending on time you want to go might be even able to get a suite, iv been on 15 cruises so far my favorites are :carnival(on the cheaper side), royal carribean, and princess(more of a snooty group) dont go with NCL lots of old people and not much of a "night life"...oh and carnival is having a 1day sale today and whatever cruise line you book...BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THEM and keep an eye on the cruise because if price drops you call them and u get the lowest price(something they dont tell u!!!) if you need help let me know iv been to just about all the carribean islands

PUNTA CANA DR. The resort is called Paradisus Palma Real. Get the Butler Service. The place is all inclusive. Non stop eating annd and over a 3000 sq ft pool. Great Food. Great beach. Butler service give you a private area of the beach and a private pool for butler service guest. They have all top shelf l alcohol. Free. Room service Free. They have a casino. (not free). They have great food. I am talking about Really good. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I think they have 5 restaurants, One jap. one Italian, french, sushi and hibachi. Also they have a great indoor outdoor grill with steaks and seafood. I cant say enough good things about this place. I have had friends who have gone on my recommendation and they loved it also.. here is a website http://www.paradisuspalmareal.travel/ By the way its not bulter service its royal service. They will run your in room jacuzzi for you. They have and assortment of scented pillows at night for you. They will also reserve your Beach or pool bungalo and set up any excursions you would like.

Just read you want 7 day. I would go with a cruise also. Definitly cost you less. Also get the cheapest room possible. if you are going to party all you need is a place to crash. If you are going to party I would go with Carnival. If you are going to relax and great food go norweigen cruise lines. You could take the 7 day cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica cruise. Been on that one its great. I would stick with western carriebean you will enjoy it more. Good luck. Congrats on graduating and remember its not where you go on vacation it your attitude when you go.
