Intel are insane greedy SOB's!!!

Have any of you comp freaks out there seen the prices for the new Intel QX9775/QX9770 processors? Is Intel insane? Who in their right mind would pay 1700-2000 for a freakin processor that will be "old news" in about 7 months? GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!:type:

Yeah you pay for the L2 cache and the FSB speed, only companies will buy this since no consumer product will really use this until at least another year down the road. You really pay for the miniturization R&D. I don't think they're greedy at all. You only really need this is you need the latest and greatest. I think if you buy this as a normal consumer your just plain dumb.

If you really want to say someone is greedy go look at mac, taking $1000 worth of parts and charging $2,000 - $3,000

I agree TOTALLYkillerdrgn!!! My wife is a technology teacher and her school is all MAC'ed up. Recently I finally was able to show my wife how APPLE rips people off with their "UBER" comps. Yes their comps are very good but there is no reason for their pricing. APPLE is another company notorious for charging an insane amount for something that will be "old news" in 4-6 months!!! Case and point, Ipods, Iphones etc. And those mindless dorks have 3, 4, even 5 players from APPLE just so they will be "seen" with the newest model. LOOOOOOOOOOSERS!!!

A companys job is to make money. An a lot of work and money goes into paying for the technology to be produced. It like medical equipment. A hd for a Medical machine cost the consumer about 1000 + dollars. Should they charge that much for a HD probobly not. But if you want them to make something new and develop the future of medicine then yes. R & D cost lots of money healthcare cost lots of money and peoples salaries cost lots of money you are also forgeting facilities lighting and heating. All that put into the price of what you pay. I would doubt anybody here would go into a business to lose money. Your in it to make a buck or two.

When a company is in graphics industry, especially movie related, they would buy these type of faster processors even though they cost an arm or a leg. Every seconds the company save in the rendering process, save the company lost more money than paying a guy sitting in front of the monitor typing in MR. while the process is running. HAHHAHAHAH
