Westminster Dog Show...

KathyC and I went as spectators...I ended with up with new clothes and handling a Samoyed named Tobin at the Westminster KC Dog Show yesterday...my small part...enjoy

hmm, I think I 'heard' a bit of it yesterday, I think it came on after an episode of I Love Lucy. It reminded me of working at Petco, and folks with pretty dogs but annoying personalities (at least when it came to the dogs)
...
I 'rolled' over, began to surf the net, then after 3mins of hearing it, turned off the tele.
But I've seen a few before. Usually a fun watch till my attention span dwindles.

the father of my english bulldog (luna) won best of breed. Cody Sickle from cherokee bulldogs is the owner and handler. Unfortunately he was beaten by a poodle for the best of non sporting class. My kids were proud of our dog's daddy

That's a nice honor Alex! Have you ever thought about showing Luna?

Beaten by a poodle???....I will never understand those haircuts on poodles.... why do they have hair all over those shaved parts if it isn't supposed to be there...:sigh:

Anyway..here is a pic of our resident MR dog handler when he doesn't agree with the judges decision.. (these 2 pics are from shows last year... sorry Mike..couldn't resist..)

And the joy that winning brings...

Lots of local shows around Alex..and they even have 'Junior' handler (under 14 I think) competitions..might be nice for your kids to get involved. It's a great sport!

Luna

I don't know about showing her, but we will be breeding her. Cody Sickle gets his pick of the litter but all the rest will be ours. She is only 6 months old, but i will post pix when she has her first litter.
