Actually Fred, you're wrong. Grammatically, it is correct to say Brett and me. Break the sentence down -

My friend took Brett for a ride in his plane.
My friend took me for a ride in his plane.

THUS

My friend took Brett and me for a ride in his plane.

I suppose it would have been more proper for me to have listed Brett first in my original post, but what I wrote was not technically wrong.

small planes are bouncy. And I can get fine photos without any kind of wing dipping, tail thrashing, etc.
