Why are women and men so different shopping?

This weekend I must have delt with about 4000 people in my store. Now I don't have a very large store. I had to even close the front door at times because it was to much and let people in a little at a time while a line was forming outside the door. The women and/or girls were most undecisive of all taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to decide what costume they wanted. The guys were quick in and out. I even had this one girl who even tried on 67 different costumes out of 160 that I carry and I swear I was about to kick her out. All the guys that were with some of the girls, I could see it in their face they wanted to strangle some of them. It was funny to watch them though...

Is it fair to say that most men that go shopping know what they want and are usually in and out of a store quick?

You are absolutely right. Women don't know what they want or they cannot make up their minds........that's the problem

As I am writing right now. I have 2 girls in my store that have been here since 12:20 and it is now 1:30, have tried on 14 costumes and now have decided that they do not want the costume but want to do a mix up kind of costume of other items that are in my store. I keep looking at the girl that works for me and I can see it in her face that she is getting fustrated...

Sorry, I don't do the costume buying thing. But I do buy greeting cards. I'd say 90% of the time the very first card I pick up says what I want it to say and I buy it. I see people reading every card on the rack and spend 1/2 hr trying to buy a birthday card! As if the person receiving it knows or cares.

I'm sure each one of the costumes these women have tried on looks great. Ahhh, maybe one or two might not work, but to spend HOURS!!! I don't know how you put up with it.

But out of the people you see reading every card, what percentage would you say are men and what percentage are women? I do the same when buying a card, usually the first card is the right one for me.

I sell more then just costumes. I have other stuff too. It does not matter what it is, but for the most part the guys that shop in my store are usually quick. The women take alot more time...
