so my husband was watching tv and now hes got it in his head that we MUST go to this hotel.....i looked this up online its like 500$ to sleep in an "ice" room who the hell wants to go on a vacation where you must sleep in thermals n a hat?!!?!?? and worst of all if you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night you must put the snow pants, boots ect on uhhh :smash: these should be nice pics when we come back

I say go to the ice hotel. It's on my to do list. Even if it is the worst vacation in your life, which it wont be, think of the story you will be able to tell for the rest of your life.

Seen a thread somewhere on the ice hotel place and people said it was good when the hotel first started and they had top notch clientele. Now its a little run down and not as good. Just something i seen.

There was a show about the Ice hotel on the Discovery channel (or some channel like that).....
Go to Fiji and watch the video of the guest freezing at the hotel while you basking in the tropical sun!!!

Go visit Cape Town and go to the Ice Bar on the V&A waterfront. They give you a parka to go in, you drink shots of vodka (or whatever) out of blocks of ice, freeze your ass off, then go out into the beautiful sunshine. January is a great time to visit!

every year it's a different design/theme. kinda of an architecture nut, and space is limited. how many people do u know have stayed at the ice hotel compared to fiji. not to say fiji is a bad vacation spot, i want to go there too, but the ice hotel tops fiji to me.

There are a few ICE HOTELS. A real good one in northen sweden. they are sick. when you aoder a drink, the bar is ice, and your glas is ice. its all ice. and sometimes, they have artist come in and design the rooms at the beginning of the season. Only go for 1 night. Then get the hell out of sweden bc its colder than anywhere you want to be.

its going to be the last vacation for a little while....by next year i hope to have a child and thats def. not a place to take a kid...either one of them lol
