I still think Torre could be back, regardless of what George said.

You are right. I really thought that Torre earned his position this year in regular season. However, Yankees got such a high standard, this is another failure season despite what you guys accomplished on regular season. Another thing about firing Torre, if you do, Pettite and several other players may not signed with Yankees.

If you see the line up for next year Yankees, it's just unbelievable. It's really hard to believe but I think next year is even better than this year, if you keep Torre.

Just get one more Ace pitcher in, you are all set. Even if A-Rod walk away, I still think Yankees is going to be ok. But Torre needs to stay.

i don't have problem with Torre not coming back. in the past 3 years, it had been getting more difficult for us to be in the race each passing year, this year if it is not for ARod we would not even be playing in october, he did not manage the guys well.

I do like Torre but we needed a change more

Any player can have bad series in Baseball, even Jeter, hard to believe right? But Jeter is a proven clutch player and he will be great next playoff, no doubt.

I definately think Roger Clemens is going to retire this year.

When is Giambi's contract over with Yankees? One more year left? Someone called WFAN this morning and said ever since Giambi joined Yankees, we never win the worldseries. And he said, it's a Giambino Curse. He was very frustrated Yankees fan.

abreu club has the option. putting it frankly- 295 hitter, 15-18 hrs 100 rbis is not worth $17mil a year. if he takes a pay cut he will be back
vizcano might come back.
giambi can be traded if the yanks are willing to throw in about 4-6 mil a year. he has 1 year left @21 mil a year.

the yanks need to scrap it and get back to what got them there. on base % guys with good pitching. we need starting pitching. with the loss of pavanos contract coming off will help. Wong is great in regular season. He will win atleast 18 next year and I am sure he'll get better. Hughes and Jabo. And let's assume Pettite stays, that's why Yankees need to keep Torre. Yankees got 4 great pitchers. Let's just if Yankees go out and get Johan Santana, this is unbelievable team.

its not the curse of giambino its not torre its not clutch hitting or the curse of arod.it all comes down to pitching.if your starters dont come through and they give up runs early it meeses up the addrenalin"i spelled that wrong" of the whole team and its hard to come back from that.with that said LETS GO METS

I was just listening to Cashman on the FAN. Good lord he should be in politics. He spoke for 15 minutes and said absolutely nothing. He danced around every question. That was the longest 15 minute waste of my time. I think I could waste everyone's time just like that

Why would you leave 1st base empty? This team had a MLB leading batting average of .290. If they can hit as a team like that with Mientkiewicz at first, why not leave him there? His defense is as good as any gold glove 1st baseman. Would it be better to have a .300 hitter there who can field like Mientkiewicz? You bet your a$$ it would be. But name just one who exists (not even asking if he's a free agent or available, just if one exists).

As for the opening you left in the OF, go after Andruw Jones. With all the money they'll be saving (from your calculation) they can easily afford him.

ok, i'll give you Mientkiewicz, Betemit, and Andy on first. i don't think they need to sign anyone in OF. you still have melky, shelly, damon, and matsui. just concentrate on pitching. i would try to get sanatana. at this point i would throw in Wang for him. you would have joba, huges, andy, kennedy, and santana,.. not bad 5

eat some cash for giambi and trade wang and giambi for sanatana
