The Difference between a Yankees Fan & a Mets Fan

When I heard this from one of the guys on 1050 ESPN, I had an epiphany;

Difference between a Yankees Fan & a Mets Fan:

The Mets can have a 20 game lead and their fans would still look behind their shoulders waiting for something to screw it up.

The Yankees were 14 games back and their fans still expected them go to the World Series.


I can't remember the last time I watched or listen to a complete Met game. Never mind a complete game, I can't remember listening for more than 3 innings at a time. But I've probably listened to or watched about 15 Yankee games and another 15 or so other MLB games. Only because I can enjoy watching those games for the love of the game. Those damn Mets make want to put my foot through the TV every time.

I always listened to WFAN all the time and I heard countless Yankees fans were calling beginning of the season and saying Yankees won't make it this year. Call for firing Torres and blamed their team's getting too old. Come on, this is how every fans react. There's no difference between Yankees and Mets fans. Do not blame on Mets fans for this disaster. Mets has to go back to the drawing board and try not to make same mistake next year.

i dont know about any other yankee fan but i rather be 14 1/2 games out @ the end of may then be ahead in 1st place for over 140 days and blow it.
