Have you ever owned a parrot? If not have you done research to understand what owning a parrot takes? I have an umbrella cockatoo and anyone who thinks a reef tank is a lot of work, get a parrot and lets talk. Parrots need tons of attention. They need to be out of their cage and provided toys and stimulation on a DAILY basis. Having a parrot is like having a two year old that will never grow up for 20+ years. They bite, scream, chew, and become attached to usually only one person. If you have had a parrot or have one now, then you already know all this and you should really look into adopting. Parrots are abandoned and abused every day. Do your self a favor and google parrot santuary or parrot adoption and look around at the different organizations in the area that save unwanted birds. Please, please, please don't buy a parrot, adopt a bird that is just waiting for someone to come along and give them what they need. Here are some links. Please help these organizations and donate if at all possible. Every dollar helps.
