Pool Person needed!!

My pool has sprung a leak :bigeyes:. I need a new liner, and the service of it being installed. I have someone that I can call on.
So why am I posting here? Well, as I've often stated on this forum I consider you all to be my family. And as such I'd rather give my money to friends and family then outsiders.

Anyone interested please let me know ASAP.

OK, I figuered there aren't any pool maintenance co. or workers on MR.. I called my guy, and I cann't reach him which makes me think he is extremely busy.

Any one have anyone they can recommend?

Hey Awilda, sorry to hear about your pool. I see that trying to get a pool company to come over is a problem everywhere.Most companies out here on Staten Island won't venture off the island.I have a # of this guy Mike if I can find it who repairs leaks.I had him come over 3 years ago.Didn't use him cause liner was to far gone.I'll check tonight in the mean time you can use our pool

Ah, not repairing it. We are replacing the liner. We repaired it last year, and I suspect the leak is coming from the same place. I'd love to use your pool, but you are just to far. I'll just walk over to the beach.:thrash:

I'm so proud of myself I just had to post!

I found, and fixed the tear in the liner of the pool. As I suspected it was last years patch that came loose. I paid $60 to have it repaired last year. And all the guy did was cut a piece of the overlapping liner, that in retrospect was barely enough to cover the hole.
The tare is in the seam, so I put a patch directly on the hole. After waiting a couple of minutes, I glued a larger patch over the initial patch overlapping it over the liner. So far 4 days, and it is still holding.

For those of you that don't know. This is a huge deal for me cause is one of the first signs that my abilities, and stamina are on the mend after Chemo & Radiation treatments.
There is life after cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
