i wonder if any other team than the Yankees thinks / acts / talks like this.

not that i'm not a fan - i am definitely a fan - i'm just trying to look at it from an outsider perspective. it's psychologically very interesting, bordering on funny.

Nice to get back to .500......finally.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves though. 9.5 games is still a lot. Although, it is a whole lot better than 14.5 just 10 days ago! That was a lot of ground they made up in short time.

Farnsworth scares the crap outta me. They should save him as an extra innings specialist :rolleyes: When they've exhausted all their starters, relievers and reserve infielders (who can pitch) then bring Kyle in when it's a last resort :banghead:

Sooooo glad Giambi is laid up. And Mientkewicz (sp?) too. Cairo has been a godsend.

Long/middle relief is not buttoned down yet. That would be the one scary spot right now.

Going for eight in row tonight baby! Things are looking better and the gap is closing. Russ, I agree it is nice to have Cairo in at first base. Giambi wasn't doing much for use and neither was Doug. He plays hard and really appreciates every chance he gets to play. Maybe it is just what we needed to get the team motivated. I hope the game doesn't get rained out tonight, it would be a shame since we have been on such a role.

The best announcer line of the night was Michael Kaye. He was talking to John Flaherty and called him Michael.....then he proceeded to correct himself and said, "sorry, I meant John, I'm Michael". Classic!

We got an afternoon game to win today and then we get to crush the Mets this weekend in the Bronx!!!! Can't wait to see the faces of disappointment on all the Mets fans come Monday.
