Any freshwater guys out there?

Starting a 12g planted tank... need the FW guys help.... anyone know good started plants? and where to buy em? im planning on to put about 8 cardinal tetras in there... think the bioload would be too much?

I am. The bioload is ok. I like my tank fully planted.

haha chief the link you sent me... of gerrys tank... that driftwood looks beautiful... IT WAS MINE!! haha... but yeh... im still clueless about the plants... i need something easy to care for... any suggestions

I had plastic plants in my FW tank LOL
Never tried real stuff til I got into reefs!

damn im kinda pissed.. i used to have all the FW equipment and i gave it all away.. now i gotta start from scratch.. so much money!!!!!!!!!!! but nothing compared to reefing.. i say with 200 bucks i can do my 12g jbj nano cube... with plants driftwood and fish

For 200 bux you can do a nice mini reef with zoas and softies too

if i start sw again... iono... i cant even start with softies and zoas... it wouldnt be satisfing at all.. and i gotta but all the salt and everything again... come on now.. 90g reef to a 12g nano... cant compare it...

I got a 24 aquapod now, it's great.

Ok, try some guppies and sbout 4 cardinals to start PC lighting should be good for real plants, I went to www.peteducation.com they have alot of info there.

You interested in buying my whole fresh water set up. Its been used for 3 years and it comes with everything even the fish and their poop. Its a 35 gallon hex comes with a wooden stand and a matching hood.

Java moss is good starter, plus it out grows algae so good to start your tank with. I also have another medium size plant that out grows algae as well and can grow aboe the water level. I also grow duck weed but generally most tank would not look good with it coz they will drift around everywhere in your tank.

Java fern is harder for beginners.

I will put up some pics towards the weekend. Or just pass by cafe to choose bring something SW FW or even food for hamsters to trade.
