Quick question - can you upload a cell phone game you have purchased to your computer to transfer and play again later? My fiancee wants to do this with her Cingular phone, since she is getting a new one, and I wasn't sure - I have Verizon and you sure as hell can't do anything with the files as far as I know.

Thanks! :D

If it's a motorola phone, get motorola phone tools. It rocks. You can transfer anything to/from your phone from your computer. (PC only)

There was a program I used a long time ago with my samsung. Let me see if I can find what it was. It's not on my pc since I reformated. google 'phone hack software.' and see what you can come up with.

Verizon disables ALL multimedia function connection for all their phones. why let you have it when you can pay them to transfer files??? Just another reason to switch, IMO

Depending on what type of phone you have (not the service) you can back up almost anything. Different cell phones run on different types of operating systems (MS Mobile 2005,2006, Symbian 60,80, Linux) and so on. There are different types of backups that you can do on a cell phone. 1 is contact info which is simple and the software to do that usually comes with the phone. 2 is called a total flash backup which copies any and all information from the phone regarding OS and system software. 3 is a total phone backup which may or may not be able to transfer to another cell phone unless of the same type and model.

Usually the games you download come in file packages like .jar (java games), .cab which are smartphone MS files which can be uploaded many times. You can get these files from the phone and transfered to your PC "IF" you have installed them to your storage card.

If all else fails, just let me know what games/software and model cell phone you have or are getting and I will try to steer you in the right direction. Remember, what plays on one phone wont necessarily play on another phone.
