Geico has pretty good rates (they are brokers for Traveler Ins). I had a really hard time getting anybody to give me a quote for a frame house in Brooklyn.
Geico!
F Geico
That wanted $2,500 a year! All State quoted me $1,500.
Same deal, frame house in Brooklyn.
Also I don't know if you've ever had a claim with Geico but it's the most insane experience you can imagine. I'll never insure anything with them ever again. You might as well use some fake insurance company in Jackson Heights.
I had some good experiences with Geico automotive - very quick responses, helpful staff. The difficulty with Brooklyn frames is that very few people will even touch them - so Geico it was. Maybe I should call some other agencies again...
Fritz.. try comibing your car insurance and home owners insurance into some sort of umberlla policy.. get the coverage from the same place and i think you could save a lot that way..
i have Allstate (Homeowners), when i tried to get a quote from Geico (who i use for Auto), they told me that their rates would not be competitive with those of Allstate for homeowners
Thanks for the info, I've been having trouble getting All State to call me back.
Geico is great as long as you never have a claim, then you have to deal with the shady underbelly of the lizard. As long as their just collecting money from you they're really nice and helpful.
I switched to progressive for auto, MUCH cheaper believe it or not than Geico. I've seen their response to claims and it's top notch.
If All State or someone else is cheaper I'd switch my auto as well.
