Halibut fishing in Alaska

So just leaving gustavus alaska on a killer halibut trip. Most pics on my other camera but what a great trip.

Highlight was my 76" 240 pound halibut, going home with a lot of meat! Went back to back after 1 hour to get him on the boat nailed a 40 inch one that looks tiny next to it.

All in all I caught about 25 halibut. Most were in the slot ( over 42 or under 80) I got lucky the captain had a tag and I could keep my 76.

Got some great shots of humpbacks and orcas also.

That's awesome!!! Not sure if I can pull the fish up before breaking my back....hahhaha. How much does the fishing trip cost itself, doesn't seem too budget friendly...hahahha!
