Does anyone care about their spelling or grammar?

This will probably get me flamed, and if so....well so it must be.

The folks on this forum are clearly bright enough to learn all sorts of chemistry, mathematics, some physics, the characteristics of light spectrums and so forth.

Yet the grammar and spelling i see here is abominable! Seriously, there, they're, their.....doesn't anyone care?

most of us read and post from phone and or tablet with auto correct.

ok, ok. Just asking. I am not an english teacher nor want to be an english teacher. I just find it almost impossible to let typos and such out in public. It's just me. Call it a personality flaw.


Salpet, 'get a life' is a bit harsh, don't you think? (And it's Debby - spelling for names should matter). Done with this. I was just curious.

Actually I think both ways are correct. With the coma its the more traditional way, but not having a coma in that location is becoming the new accepted norm in grammatical world
