Is this 8mm? If you have a VCR you can get a converter. I am in 11557.

Recording technology has changed. my contour holds more memory and has a longer battery life compaired to the video camera. It's also the size of the battery. In addition the contour is waterproof, records hi def and has a fish eye lens.

i had an 8mm but i think their are 2 different kinds.
if you think thats big you had to see the vhs recorders from back in the day.
i still have 8mm that needs to be transferred to a disk, but like you i don't know whats on them.

There are two different recording formats that are NOT interchangeable. One is 8mm as noted above. The other is VHS-C. The VHS-C has an adapter that you put the VHS-C tape in and it can be used in any old VHS player. An 8mm tape is not compatible and cannot be used in the adapter.

CU455,

Yeah that's the one but Wow you are in queen- too far LOL

I just want it to transfer 8mm tape movie to my PC and burning it onto dvd . I have a kit for it (wires and program)

Thanks

Jake, what kit did you get for the transfer? I've got a TON of 8mm tapes needing transfer too. If you could shoot me a link to the kit, that would be great.

Thnx
Russ
