I'll make this short. There are countless threads on what's the best for our captive animal friends. The best salts, lighting, foods, additives etc. A heard a guy say he rinse sand with RODI water. We are ichthyologists, Zoologist, plumber, painters, carpenter etc. not to mention the thousands of dollars we spend. We want our fish and corals to have and eat the best. :bagfish:So what about yourself, your body needs? Are you eating tand drinking the best and heathiest foods your money can buy? Are you taking a daily multi vitamin, check your blood pressure and check your cholesterol, sugar, sodium, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, iodine etc. Well i hope you all are. Happy reefing. :dog:

Daily vitamins are a scam. Doctors proved they do nothing. :)
That maybe %100 true and the Dr will tell you that because they want you to get sick. Point is we buy coral vite, brightwell this that and the other and a whole bunch of crap and we don't know if they work. So back to you.

No multi vitamins, I don't believe in them but I'm sure as you get older you'd need some sort of supplement. I heard zinc can be beneficial (to keep you healthy during flu season).
I eat clean and cut out meat from my diet so even if I miss months from the gym I maintain my weight. My fianc? is pescetarian and we mostly stick to organic food. These days I hit the weights 5-6x a week, trying to get my 4 pack back lol. Happy Reefing :)

With all the crap that goes into our food we are definitely not getting all the nutrients the body requires out of food alone. Now depending on your lifestyle whether athlete, active or just the "average" person there are many different sorts of vitamins one could/would recommend. I myself love BSN products. A bit costly compared to other brands but they make great stacks (pre workout, post work out, fat burners, multi vitamin, etc)

If anyone in the Bx, Westchester area is interested in getting into shape I train and am currently on the road to becoming a CPT.

Multi vitamins arent a scam per se, but rather they dont live up to the hype. A healthy diet would be more than adequate in supplying all the micronutrients needed to carryon. The majority of whats in multivitamins gets flushed out of your system. Hence the neon colored urine it produces. Lol. But for some people they are nesseccary. Such as those who suffer from Anemia. They may be advised by a dr to suppliment with vitamins. And honestly the vast majority dont eat properly so vitamins may still be a safe bet. Salad anyone?..

This has turned into a vitamin shop. I'm not suggesting you should take a multi each day. My question now is, if you don't take any vitamins/ supplements or if you think vitamins/supplements is a scam why are you dosing them to your fish and corals? Do you really think they would make something benifical for corals and fish and not humans?
