Can anyone reccomend a good set of headphones

I am looking for a new pair of headphones. I am not much of a music guy. The main use of these will be to plug into the television to watch Game of Thrones as loud as I can while everyone else is sleeping. Outside of that, I don't want to hear the rest of the world. I also don't want to drop $350.

Look at sennheiser. They are the best in terms or quality and sound IMO. They have a wide price range so look around and see what you like.

I just googled "wireless tv headphones" and a lot of models available for under $100,,Including ChristianD's Sennheisers ($60)

Not looking for wireless. I have done the same google search. Just looking for reviews from people who have experience with certain models.

For me I own SMS wireless and dropped $200 on them and they are clearer than most wired,,I had the same problem all my shows I cant watch till late at night or my surround sound is just too crazy (Bose) so thats what I got,,if your looking for cheap wired headphones then look at your tv, look at the audio outputs you have and if your lucky you can get an adapter or extension for 10 bucks from Radio Shack.

I have own these headphones for years. Its not the most stylish but the sound quality is awesome for a headphone under $100.

I've had these for almost two years. The amount of clarity is ridiculous! I prefer watching all my tv shows and movies with my ipad and these than on the tv with the surround sound.

With these on you will here sounds you've never heard before. An example, when watching boardwalk empire or GoT, I can hear the background conversations that the extras in the scene are having. It really adds unique element. I've played those same scenes on my tv and I just don't hear them.

These coupled with a high def tablet and you can totally turn the outside world off.
