I havent see a thread with peoples favorite place to eat. So I will kick it off..

Went to a restaurant called south of the border on wantagh ave. Got paella and it was off the charts. Full of flavor. Gotta try tito's lemonade!

bacci & abracci, aurora, Paulie Gee's, Mole, Sugar Beets, juliettes, meatball shop, and theres a bunch more in the williamsburg area that we frequent every week or two for a night out. Then you have Gargiulo's for fam style intalian downtown bklyn. There were a few that we used to go to in park slope as well but the names escape me. Haven't been there just due to the trek down and parking. There is this great Chinese food sit down place on 2nd ave and 51-52nd in the city too.

Theres a bunch of great places in queens, brooklyn and nyc. Yelp is great at showing you the places to go if you want great food.

Il Toscano is on Northern I think that's also known as Il Bacco I know the place I never go over there really though and I'm not in LI much. I like Baci because it's very reasonable and they give you a man's meal there not like a 3" piece of chicken garnished w/ something that looks like they pulled it out of the grass behind the place like some other places do lol. As far as brooklyn I usually just pass through on my way to SI. I did go to a good sushi spot though twice I think it's called Bay sushi? I'd have to ask my cousin. I don't eat out much, I like to cook my own stuff.

If you want great Italian in Long Island. The best spot is piccolo bussola in Westbury or Piccolo Liguria in Port Washington.
Piccolo Luguria is less northern Italian and more real Italian. Not really for the fans of veal parm and spaghetti.
For steak I would say jimmy hays in island park. To me it is better than Lugers or Doyle's, wolenski and every other steak house out there.

Than we are talking about two different restaurants. Il Toscano is by the Douglaston train station.

I have eaten in Bacci's and Il Toscano's many times and they are good but the absolutely best restaurant in NY is Trattoria L'in Contro in Astoria. It's even better than eating in Italy. Rocco the owner and Chef is a good friend of mine and it is rated #1 or #2 in all of NY. He is always cooking on TV and cooks for Gracie Mansion once a week or so. Nothing compares to it

I love the sushi at blue fish in Hicksville. The outside isn't much to look at but the inside is really nice and their specialty rolls are really really good. I get a roll called the angry birds every time.
