I did mine myself a couple months ago. Took me 3x longer than a professional, had to buy about $200 in tools, and more work than I expected. It came out 10x better than i thought it would for a diy job. No idea what it would have cost me to have a pro do it, but i spent maybe $400 total...I'm happy with the results.

It the one with the detergent reservoir! Love it.

Anyway back to tile..i ended up putting too much thinset and figured I would wait till it was dry. Hint, dont do that... Anyway after lots of scraping, it all looked like crap. Then I put the grout in and slapped myself on the back because it looked awesome after that.
