Please buy one and move next door to me.....not so that you can do my driveway, but because buying a snow blower is like buying an insurance policy that it won't snow that year :) lol

Ariens is my choice

If you have pavers you may not want a 2 stage blower. I got rid of my large Toro 2 stage and got the Toro Snow Commander which is the largest blower with rubber blades. You wouldn't want to scratch your pavers. Otherwise the Toro was a great machine

Not sure about the Toro (but I suspect they incorporate it too), the front scoop of all quality snow blowers have height adjustments to raise the scoop to compensate for pavers and slightly uneven driveways.

get one that has steerable wheels.....it lets you independently control each of the drive wheels so it's self propel and steerable. something like this...

http://www.tylertool.com/husqvarna-...00-73,default,pd.html&xsell=hqvn9619300-70--4

what bothers me about the snow blower is that the manufacturer knows it's going to be exposed to salt....yet they use crappy linkages that rust!!!!

haven't used mine in years since we got the lawn people to do the plowing. i'll trade it for corals. lmk if interested. i'll go and dig around the garage to see which brand i have.

I am also looking into a new unit. I have a 12 year old MTD, that actually starts on the first pull every time, but I want to upgrade. I have been looking at multiple machines but don't know what to get. Check out www.snowblowersdirect.com the prices are OK but def a great place to see tons of units at one site.

Let us know what you decide. I am looking for a 28 in width dual stage with some throw power :)
