I am looking for a bright, responsible, creative and motivated intern
The candidate should be reliable, punctual, flexible, and educated in the field of art or has a passion for learning about the visual arts.
I manage a conceptual gallery/private tattoo studio owned and run by my boss, David Sena, famous tattoo artist in the community which feature the art and drawings of his own work as well as of other local artists. Conveniently located in the heart of Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown, we're very easy to commute to.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greeting gallery visitors about the current exhibition and mission of the space.
Exhibition installation: including hanging, accepting work for shows at the gallery, inventory management, archiving, packing, unpacking, and handling of works, sanding, painting & spackling walls after show
Attend and help manage the space during openings and events along with compiling contact mailing lists.
Managing appointments for tattoo clients.
Optional skills might include: Microsoft Office, Filemaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and video editing.
Must express interest in tattoos.
Time commitment would be dependent on your personal schedule. The shop is open from Tuesday-Sunday from 11am-8pm. Please include the days and hours you will be available in your email response.

NOTE* it is an unpaid internship, but the hours put towards working will work towards credit towards a tattoo of your choice (discussed upon interview)
