Good morning MR!
We live to meet another Glorious morning, and that is a good thing.
On to the reason of this thread; LIPA sent email to all LIPA customers regarding the service outages. I am enclosing the portion that affects me!
"Customers needing an electrical inspection certificate will be instructed to reach out to a licensed electrician or an electrical inspection agency to obtain this inspection/inspection certificate before LIPA can restore power. Once LIPA has been contacted by the inspection agency indicating that the customer's premises meets the code requirements and is safe to energize, a LIPA representative will be dispatched to restore the customer's electric service.
Your safety and well being remain our number one priority and we thank you for your continued patience during this difficult time."
My house is weird; it has 3 panels 2 of which were under water plus all the wiring up in the basement's ceiling were under water. So before they will restored power to my home I am going to need the certificate mentioned above! Yes, I know the work has to be done before I the certificate can be issued.
Please let me know if you can help with this matter!
Thank you for any help you can offer!
It is going to be sometime before we have the comforts we have become accustom to, and I just want to be prepared for when the power reaches the Rockaways!:help:
