Any LI Hunters?

I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone else has bow hunted Suffolk County.

I have been hunting for the past 6 years and started bowhunting last year. I want to go more often but heading upstate every weekend is a pain.

Has anyone had any success hunting on LI?

What areas are the best? Do you hunt public or private land?

I hunt LI but i havent since my back surgery. been 2 years since i hunted seriously hoping by next year i will get back into it. i took alot of does and a couple of small bucks and my only shot at a monster 10 pointer i hit it and it ran into the marsh and never found it.

I don't hunt but 2 guys I work with both hunt LI. I know at least 1 of them took 1 Doe last year. He was talking this morning about how he was sitting in the tree and watching them walk by just out of range...
