Daughters Baby Shower

Today is my daughter's Baby shower. She is expecting a baby in a few weeks and I will be a Grand Father for the first time. I am excited to get this baby started on reef tanks.
For the few times the baby will sleep here, I got the room ready. It is not finished in these pictures but it is now.
That is the bassinet I was born in as was my Daughter and that is part of my wife's wedding gown around it. That is a family tradition.

Thanks, yes a Nano. My Daughter had a Nano goldfish tank and I think this room needs one also. But I can't keep those dam things alive :bagfish:

The basinet and wife's wedding gown!!!!! That's beyond wonderful !! I love sentimental pride , it's rare and very important to a families dynamic, Paul congratulations to your daughter for a soon to arrive wonderful bundle of joy and to you for being such an outstanding grandpa to be , I am far from that part of life with only an 11 and 4 year old but I still know the joys of childbirth and newborn babies , oh how the good times are right around the corner for ya brotha .

Thanks SaltwaterinBrooklyn. I was not the first baby in that bassinet, I was like #5. It is about 75 years old and there have been about 20 or so babies in there.
The wedding gown thing is a family tradition, that gown is 38 years old. We had it cleaned and re furbished for this bassinet.
This kid is never going to want to go home, that is our plan. :shhh:
We were very involved in our Daughter's young life, we had her Sweet 16 party at the New York Aquarium. It was great, we rented a bus to bring all her friends there. :tongue1:
